Supabase Management Admin
Technical architecture, database security standards, and telemetry monitoring overview for the RiddleTech Supabase Administration Portal.
1. System Overview
The Supabase Management Admin portal is RiddleTech's internal control center for orchestrating multi-tenant PostgreSQL clusters, monitoring realtime WebSockets, managing JWT role assignments, and inspecting storage bucket allocations across application backends.
2. Row-Level Security (RLS) Enforcement
Security is enforced natively at the database level using PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) policies. Every table in the infrastructure requires explicit RLS policies before deployment:
-- Example RLS Policy for Tenant Isolation
ALTER TABLE tenant_telemetry ENABLE ROW LEVEL SECURITY;
CREATE POLICY "Tenant Isolation Policy"
ON tenant_telemetry
FOR ALL
TO authenticated
USING (tenant_id = (auth.jwt() ->> 'tenant_id')::uuid)
WITH CHECK (tenant_id = (auth.jwt() ->> 'tenant_id')::uuid);
3. Schema Migration Standards
Database schema migrations are executed using automated CLI tooling. All migrations must be transactional (`BEGIN ... COMMIT`) to prevent partial state corruption during multi-region database updates.
4. Real-Time Telemetry & Monitoring
The admin portal tracks active PostgreSQL pool connections (`pgBouncer`), cache hit ratios (`pg_stat_database`), and query execution latency in real-time, providing immediate visibility into backend performance bottlenecks.
5. Access & Security Rules
Access to the Supabase Management Admin portal is strictly restricted to authenticated administrator sessions via MFA token verification.
